About MALESW
Mid-Atlantic Law Enforcement Survivors Weekend (MALESW) will be held from Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4, 2009. Those who have attended in the past know very well that it's an amazing weekend where old friends get to see each other and new survivors become part of our close-knit family.
MALESW is unique in that it recognizes the truly forgotten heroes: the survivors of fallen law enforcement officers. Survivors include family members and co-workers. The weekend focuses on law enforcement survivors from the following states: New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. However, in past years we have honored the requests of families that reside in our region and hosted families from Georgia and Colorado, in addition to those from the Mid-Atlantic region. We are also different in that we recognize survivors from not just the current year, but those that were killed in the line of duty from the past. The event is hosted annually by the North Wildwood Police Department and is held in the seashore resort of North Wildwood, New Jersey. 5K Run and 1K Walk
A new date this year! The 5K Run & 1K Walk will be held on Saturday, July 18, in North Wildwood, NJ. It will kick off at Keenan’s Pub, located at 1st & NJ Avenues in North Wildwood. Race day registration is from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and the race begins promptly at 9 a.m. The entrance fee is 10.00. The first 300 Participants geceive t-shirts! Registration
IMPORTANT: You must register for the weekend even if you do not need a room. In order for the committee to maintain a handle on the weekend and to be able to provide accurate information and proper services to the survivors, no information will be accepted via the phone or the internet. You must download the PDF registration form, print it, and follow the instructions on the form. (You can fill out the PDF form on your computer and then print it out). Registration must be submitted to the committee by July 17. There is a $100 Deposit due at time of registration if you require hotel reservations. This deposit will guarantee you room for the event. You will receive your deposit back upon sign-in with MALESW at the host hotel.

Hotel Information
We have chosen Montego Bay Resort to be the Host Hotel again this year. Since the weekend will be held "off season" they are able to offer us more rooms at a much better rate. There are many different types of rooms available with weekend packages starting at $245 per couple/per room and $60 for each additional person (children 5 & under free). Rates increase based on room upgrade. Check-in is on Friday, 10/2, and check-out is on Sunday. 10/4. Included in the rate are breakfast on both days, dinner Saturday evening, and a 'Beef & Beer' party on Friday night. Please indicate on your registration form what type of room you will need and we will do our best to accommodate you. (Please note: if you are not staying in the Montego Bay host hotel yet want to attend Friday night's 'Beef & Beer' party, you must purchase tickets. The tickets are included only if you are registered to stay in the Montego Bay.)
